After all these months waiting and getting more and more excited about our new house, we finally moved in! Building a house was certainly challenging (even if we didn’t have to do the heavy manual work ourselves, these last few months have been all about choosing tiles, doors, a bathroom, a kitchen, …) but we made it!
Ofcourse there’s still a lot of work to do (like painting the walls and getting the garden ready) but I’m already proud of the result. Buying our own house and choosing every little detail to make it just the way we want, was just about the only thing I’ve been doing for the last few months (hence the absence on the blog, oops) but all of the hard work finally pays off.
We’ve moved in about ten days ago and I already feel totally at home. I’ve unpacked most of the boxes and I immediately gave the most important decoration items a place to make it look cosy and homey as soon as possible. So happy with the result!
I really enjoy finding nice interior pieces online or in a store and getting my interior on point! I love design pieces but I equally love IKEA or H&M Home so my interior is a mix-and-match of more expensive and cheaper items. I also love bringing souvenirs back from my travels and I always give them a special place in my home. The overall theme is ‘black and white’ but I hate clinical and cold spaces, so I give them a little extra touch with cosy accessories and lots of fresh flowers.
Hope you enjoy this first look into our home.
